Happy New Year to All.

I have recently joined the Beautiful Beasties Network and am honored to be a part of this dynamic international group of awe-inspiring pet photographers. I look forward to being challenged over the next year to learn and grow creatively, especially through participation in the group's "52 Weeks Project." (The division of my photography business that focuses on animals is Grace Wears Fur, so you will see my images here signed accordingly.)

Each week members of the network will collaborate creatively on a different theme in what is known as a blog ring.  At the bottom of my "52 Weeks" posts which will appear every Friday throughout the year, you will always find a link to the blog of another photographer in the network.  Look for the link to the next blog in that post and continue until you get back to mine. Our collective goal is to bring to you a delightful viewing experience of seeing our companion animals in a new, creative light.

This week's theme is "JOY."  One of my favorites.  The weather here in northern Illinois has been frightfully frigid in the last week, and the Happy Tails from Acapulco were for the most part quite content to stay inside. They were sleeping quietly at my feet one morning at the breakfast table when this new little friend appeared in the tree outside of our window.  A joyful gift to warm the heart.  Grace Wears Fur.....and Feathers too!

You will share some fun adventures here in future posts with The Happy Tails from Acapulco and their fur-iends. In the meantime, make sure you jump on over to Melbourne Australia's award-winning Caitlin McColl's Ragamuffin Pet Photography to see her expression of JOY.  Then look for another link at the bottom of her post and each successive post in the blog ring until you find your way back to mine.  See you next week!
