Do you ever wonder about the human faces behind Animal Rescue? Over the last several months I have had the opportunity to meet some of the compassionate staff members at Save-A-Pet Adoption Center in Grayslake, IL, one of Northern Illinois' largest No-Kill rescue facilities. They are the true faces of hope for the hundreds of animals in need who arrive at the Shelter each year with heartbreaking stories of neglect, abuse, abandonment and surrender. Many of these animals have never felt a kind touch or heard a gentle, encouraging voice until they arrive at Save-A-Pet.
